Our feet are made up of skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and 26 distinct bones. They are fascinating structures whose main functions are bodily stability and locomotion. If we think about it, our feet are subjected every day to immense strain and countless aggressions.
Despite being so important to us, they spend around 2/3 of our lives enclosed in footwear (which, in the vast majority of cases, is not foot-friendly). There are around 300 conditions that may be associated with the feet and, consequently, affect our overall health and well-being. In fact, a simple backache may be related to our feet.
In my opinion, we only remember that feet exist and should be cared for in two situations: when they cause us discomfort/pain or when the much-awaited spring sunshine arrives. But then there is quickly a frantic rush to pharmacies in search of miracle solutions that will quickly resolve the yellowed nail, athlete’s foot or cracked heel.
What if I told you that, to prevent some of these conditions, you can use cleansing products based on natural ingredients such as essential oils, which can prevent a fungus from taking hold or excessive perspiration from continuing to be a problem? In the same way that we use shampoo for our hair, soap for our body and specific products for intimate hygiene, feet also deserve to be treated with specific cosmetics that have been studied to maintain their health.
Remember that caring for your feet is not a luxury; it is a necessity for overall well-being!
